Do you want your investments to contribute to a better world?
What is not investment advice?
Good advice recognizes your situation, goals and assumptions and clearly formulates the investment plan. Do you receive tips, warnings or other investment information that are not based on your personal characteristics and preferences? Then you will not receive investment advice as we would give it.
What does an investment adviser do?
It may come across as something from another time, but at InsingerGilissen, advice starts with a good conversation from person to person. And if necessary, more conversations follow. Because only when we really know what drives you, how you view the world, what goals you pursue and how you see the possible wealth transfer to the next generation, do we get to work and come up with an advice. That proposal is the result of collaboration by different teams of experts within InsingerGilissen.
Who is allowed to give you investment advice?
Only professionals with a licence from the regulator (in the Netherlands, usually the Autoriteit Financiële Markten, AFM), are allowed to give investment advice. Dutch advisers and financial service providers (such as banks) are supervised by the AFM and strict legal requirements are imposed on the knowledge and training of investment advisers. The AFM also monitors the reliability and expertise of investment advisers and investment service providers. InsingerGilissen meets all requirements and ensures that every investment adviser is qualified and competent and complies with the duty of care. You can rest assured that you and your interests are at the centre of our investment advice.
What is Investment Advice from InsingerGilissen?
With us, Investment Advice (with capital letters) is the name of the investment service where we give you regular well-founded personal advice, carefully tailored to you and your goals. You hold the reins yourself and give stock market orders but benefit fully from our information and investment ideas. Investment advice is therefore a different form of investment service than Asset Management, where we manage your investments and you do not give buy and sell orders.

Sustainable investment advice
InsingerGilissen is a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment. So you can rest assured that our investments are responsible. We take 'ESG' factors into account in all our investment proposals, in which E stands for environment, S for social and G for governance factors. Before we recommend a share or bond, we review the company or issuer on more than 180 characteristics. We do this with the help of our sustainability data provider, the renowned research institute Morningstar Sustainalytics.

Our investment results
Clients who choose our Investment Advice services, receive regular information and investment suggestions from their Client Advisor, but decide on trades themselves. As an indication of the returns on our advisory services, you can have a look at the results of our Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) on the website Vermogensbeheer.nl. That is an independent organization that assesses and compares asset managers. Unfortunately, the information is only in Dutch.

Our risk profiles
Good investment advice provides the recipient with information on how the assets can be invested, based on someone's specific personal situation, wishes and goals. Thereby, the degree of risk a person is willing or able to accept, determines the ratio between risky and less risky investments. That ratio determines your so-called risk profile, which is by far the most decisive part of the advice. The ratio of more risky investments (such as equities) to less risky investments (such as bonds) largely determines long-term returns. Will you become our client? Then you and your Client Advisor determine your investment profile and this is then recorded in your file. This forms the basis for our advisory services.

Asset classes
With Investment Advice from InsingerGilissen, you receive our investment research and trade suggestions and then give your own orders for your market trades. But that does not mean that you also have a completely free choice from all the investments available on the market. This is because we are only allowed to advise clients on investments that are suitable for them. The regulator AFM puts it this way: "Investment firms that give investment advice or manage a client's individual assets are obliged to ask the client about their financial position, objectives, risk appetite, knowledge and experience. The investment advice or method of management must be based partly on this information. This information and an explanation of why the advice is consistent with it, must also be included in the suitability statement provided to the customer." (source: AFM.nl) In the Client Profile document, an annex to the Service Provision Document, we set out which asset classes are suitable for you, such as equities, bonds, commodities, real estate and alternatives (such as hedge funds and unlisted assets).
